Jason Redwood made this tattoo for a client to celebrate his Mexican heritage represented by the agave plant as well as a wave to represent his beach lifestyle in Santa Barbara. Agave is known for its hardiness and ability to thrive in harsh environments, the agave is a symbol of strength, resilience, and adaptability. It's a plant that survives and even flourishes where many others would wither, making it a powerful emblem of endurance and perseverance.

Not that long ago almost all tattoos were done as walk-ins. With people’s busy schedules and custom ideas it can feel like every tattoo needs to be an appointment, but many tattoos can still be done as a walk-in or scheduled ahead on our appointment page. Often people have artwork or an image on their phone which can be enough for us to work with to make your design as a walk-in.

I had a lot of fun making this single needle snake and rose for Amanda. Snakes are one of my favorite subjects to tattoo and they are perfect for single needle. Figuring out a good flow and shading all of the scales is a some of the most fun I can have tattooing. I look forward to doing more snakes and roses, it’s always a fun challenge putting these designs together.

I had a lot of fun making this single needle heart rose and banner tattoo for Dani, the design is approximately 3.5 inches wide and the total time was around 3 and a half hours. Single needle designs are a great option if you want fine detail and soft shading with out making a large tattoo, and also offer a very refined look not always possible in other styles.

Single needle tattooing is one my favorite styles to work in. Making this single needle cowboy on horse back for Maxwell at the Eagle Rock shop was a lot of fun and an enjoyable technical challenge. This design took approximately 6 hours to complete and is around four inches tall, it was done in one sitting.
